As the regional point of contact for GMES and GALILEO, CEON will integrate and promote user driven applications. Data derived from satellite and in situ sources in the fields of Communication, Earth Observation and Navigation are leading to new and enhanced operational service concepts.  

CEON is a non-profit organisation, 100% owned by institutions of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen. Shareholders are “Wirtschaftsförderung Bremen GmbH”, the central service-providing body for business and economic development in Bremen, and the “Verein zur Förderung der wissenschaftlichen Forschung in der Freien Hansestadt Bremen e.V.”. The Bremen Institute of the German Aerospace Center DLR is cooperating with CEON by contributing expertise and hosting the offices.
